I can't believe I finally saw the Sun Tunnels! My husband took me here on my birthday in mid October since I've been wanting to see this land art installation for years. They are concrete monoliths that funnel the Sun and constellations on the summer and winter solstices. They sit off a dirt road in the middle of the Utah/Nevada desert and it's quite stark and beautiful out there. You can hang out as long as you want and it would be wonderful to tent camp there to experience the tunnels at sunrise and sunset. We'll definitely go back to these intriguing and peaceful objects placed in an artist's vision, in one of the most striking landscapes I've seen.

Great place to visit. We spent the night seeing them in the sunset and sunrise. Very tranquil and quiet. Worth the drive if you are interested in land art.

Great place to visit so long as you pay attention to weather. Easy to get a car stuck.

Beautiful & dusty. You don't need a 4WD to get there, depending on which way you go to get there and the time of year. No campfires. Three things to see - sunset, stars, and sunrise.

Sureal and beautiful. Very remote, be prepared.
